ESG Insights από το UN SDSN: New Trends and Strategies for the Shipping Industry

The seminar “UN SDSN Environmental Social Governance for the Shipping Industry” brings to Cyprus the latest guidance from the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (UN SDSN) and is based on the themes and standards of the ReSEES Laboratory of the Athens University of Economics and Business. It provides specialized knowledge and practical tools for managing environmental and social challenges, while being linked to standards and best practices applied internationally.

Conrad Felix Michel Landis
Ο Conrad Felix Michel Landis είναι μεταδιδακτορικός ερευνητής στο Εργαστήριο έρευνας για την κοινωνικοοικονομική και περιβαλλοντική βιωσιμότητα (ReSEES) του Οικονομικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών, και στη Μονάδα Αειφόρου Ανάπτυξης του Ερευνητικού κέντρου “Αθηνά”.
Είναι συνεργάτης Καθηγητής στο Πρόγραμμα Μεταπτυχιακών Σπουδών στη Χρηματοοικονομική και Τραπεζική του Ο.Π.Α. και στο Indian Institute Of Management– Rohtak (IIM–Rohtak).
Είναι απόφοιτος του Τμήματος Διεθνών και Ευρωπαϊκών Οικονομικών Σπουδών, κάτοχος Μεταπτυχιακού τίτλου στα Διεθνή Οικονομικά και Χρηματοοικονομικά και Διδακτορικού Διπλώματος Χρηματοοικονομικών και Οικονομετρίας (Asset Pricing), του Οικονομικού Πανεπιστημίου Αθηνών. Τα ερευνητικά του ενδιαφέροντα αφορούν στα πεδία της Οικονομετρίας, των Οικονομικών του περιβάλλοντος και των εμπειρικών χρηματοοικονομικών.
Έχει συμμετάσχει στον σχεδιασμό και την υλοποίηση έργων Βιωσιμότητας και Εταιρικής Κοινωνικής Ευθύνης (CSR), με έμφαση στους Στόχους Βιώσιμης Ανάπτυξης (SDGs). Διαθέτει εμπειρία στην υλοποίηση προγραμμάτων σε μεγάλους οργανισμούς τόσο στην Ελλάδα όσο και στο εξωτερικό, με στόχο την ενσωμάτωση πρακτικών ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance), τη βελτιστοποίηση αποτυπώματος άνθρακα, καθώς και την ανάπτυξη δράσεων που ενισχύουν την κοινωνική και περιβαλλοντική υπευθυνότητα.
Όσο αφορά τον ξενοδοχειακό τομέα έχει συμμετέχει σε έργα για την ενσωμάτωση πράσινων πρακτικών λειτουργίας σε ξενοδοχειακές μονάδες, με στόχο τη μείωση του περιβαλλοντικού αποτυπώματος, τη βελτιστοποίηση της ενεργειακής απόδοσης και την υιοθέτηση διεθνών προτύπων πιστοποίησης (π.χ. Green Key, LEED). Συμμετείχε στο σχεδιασμό και διαχείριση έργων που ενισχύουν την κοινωνική και περιβαλλοντική υπευθυνότητα με μετρήσιμα αποτελέσματα σε θέματα μείωσης αποβλήτων, κυκλικής οικονομίας και βιωσιμότητας. Διαθέτει εμπειρία στην ανάπτυξη στρατηγικών για υπεύθυνη κατανάλωση ενέργειας και νερού και στην προώθηση βιώσιμων πρακτικών προς τους επισκέπτες.
Η εμπειρία του αυτή συνδυάζει στρατηγική προσέγγιση με πρακτική εφαρμογή έργων σε διαφορετικούς κλάδους, εξασφαλίζοντας όχι μόνο την τυπική συμμόρφωση με διεθνή πρότυπα αλλά και την ενσωμάτωση της Βιωσιμότητας ως μέρος της εταιρικής κουλτούρας.

Ms. Nicole Phinopoulou is a specialist legal and ESG consultant, with many years of experience in corporate, banking and financial law, as well as in sustainable development strategies.
She is a graduate of the University of Cambridge and University College London (UCL) with a Master’s degree (LL.M.) in Commercial and Corporate Law, while she has completed postgraduate studies in Sustainable Finance and Circular Economy at Cambridge Judge Business School.
